Ramsau am Dachstein offers a network of winter hiking routes that includes winter hiking paths and winter trails. From our hotel, you can set out on shorter tours to nearby mountain huts, as well as longer winter expeditions across the high plateau. All of the routes are well-maintained, away from the main roads, available for the use of hikers as well as sleighs. Country inns with cozy dining rooms, rustic huts and sunny terraces invite you to enjoy well-earned refreshment breaks along the way.
The hiking network of Ramsau extends for 70 km. This includes 40 km of hiking tours across the high plateau, with each of the paths some 4 m wide. Yet another 30 km of winter hiking trails complete the picture, leading hikers to the top of the Kulmberg, the Rittisberg, and up to the alpine pastures of the Dachstein at roughly 1700 m above sea level. The wide hiking paths are mostly flat, through open and sunny terrain. The narrower winter hiking trails generally take you along the forest's edge, are ideal if it is snowing and also feature steeper sections.
Snow crunching beneath your feet and fresh, clear air in your nose.
Enjoy the peace and quiet of the open countryside.
