The Schladming-Dachstein Region and Schladming, as host city of the Ski World Championships, are famous worldwide for their wealth of recreational opportunities and international events. Outdoor activities such as downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, sledding and much more are guaranteed to turn your vacation into a variety packed adventure.

Whether you're a sporty skier, a speedy runner or a bon vivant - on the Planai everyone is in their element. Legendary is the 4.6 km long FIS downhill run from the Planai summit to the valley, which is crowned by the famous Planai finish slope. But also more leisurely winter sports enthusiasts feel at home on the versatile slopes.

The Ramsau ski region is famous for its family-friendly offers and magical pistes, 16 lifts on the Ramsau high plateau, extending all the way to Dachstein glacier. With a 220 km trail network, Ramsau am Dachstein is one of the top destinations for cross-country skiers in Austria.

Dachstein glacier lies at about 2700 m above sea level, while the Hoher Dachstein, at 2995 m the highest mountain in Styria, captivates with fabulous scenery and a panorama that extends across the high peaks of Austria, all the way to the Czech Republic and Slovenia. Attractions that include a pedestrian footbridge, the Sky Walk, Ice Palace and the "Stairway to Nothingness" are very much the icing on the cake. Here, breathtaking moments are guaranteed, as are great views along with nerve-tingling excitement.

Our Reiteralm ski mountain lies right across from Hotel Steirerhof, at the western entrance to the Schladming-Dachstein holiday region. Nestled amid a fascinating alpine world, the Reiteralm has been a popular ski area and training destination for the world’s best skiers for years. Every day, ski buses depart from our hotel, running between the Reiteralm and Dachstein glacier. Ski passes are available at the hotel!

Fageralm

The Fageralm is located in a high valley (930 m above sea level) between the Dachstein and Tauern mountains, on the border between Salzburg and Styria, home to a ski area with broad, gently sloping pistes. And at the Fageralm, you will only encounter natural snow! That said, additional man-made snowmaking is available closer to the valley. The Forstau locals are proud of their warmth and good hospitality.

Skiers, tobogganers and winter hikers - everyone loves the Hochwurzen. Wide, long runs make the heart of the connoisseur beat faster - by day and by night. The seven-kilometre-long toboggan run offers full pleasure on two runners.

Hauser Kaibling

The Hauser Kaibling is an ideal eastern gateway to the ski region, featuring many highlights across the entire mountain! The Tauern gondola carries you to an elevation of 1870 m. The summit lift will take you even higher, to the highest point in the Schladming 4-Mountain Ski Area. At 2015 m above sea level, you are treated to fabulous views across all of Ennstal as well as the Dachstein massif.

Far removed from the bustling bigger ski mountains, here you can enjoy the tranquility of the mountain world as it works its wonders on you. Especially for kids, you will also discover a Gallic KinderLand. The ski mountain offers 5 lifts and 15 km of pistes, including a family-friendly valley run, along with a funslope and sledding hill. For ski tourers and snowshoers, the summit of the Pleschnitz-Zinken at 2111 m above sea level treats you to great panoramic views of the Tauern peaks as well as the entire Dachstein massif.

Stoderzinken

Stoderzinken

The Stoderzinken is located opposite the Galsterberg on the sunny side of the Enns Valley. Winter and snowshoe hikes offer a perfect balance to the hectic everyday life. At the "quiet Mountain" you will be able to experience nature in a completely different way. From the summit at 2,048 meters above sea level, you can see the Schladming-Dachstein region from the very top.
