Brilliant concept (two tours offered per day – one easier, one slightly more difficult – hotel for adults and solo travellers, wellness area) – professional implementation with very beautiful and varied tours that offer the perfect level of challenge – very well balanced, you can tell they have years of experience! I'm already looking forward to my next visit with winter scenery :)

Some of the guests had already stayed at the Steirerhof several times. That speaks for consistent quality. For me, it was my second visit and probably not my last. Once again, everything was just right: the value for money, the harmonious atmosphere among the guests, the quality of the food and, last but not least, the breathtaking landscape surrounding the hiking hotel. The knowledgeable and friendly hiking guides Markus and Norbert lead both the well-trained and less well-trained hiking enthusiasts safely through the beautiful area at the foot of the Dachstein Mountains. Highly recommended!

If you are seeking an active break with excellent, well-guided hikes, a charming hotel with a relaxed atmosphere and varied, delicious food, as well as a fine wellness area, this is the perfect place for you.

The routines are extremely well organised and completely stress-free once you get used to the 7 o'clock alarm clock. We had a wonderful 1 1/2 weeks with good conversations, nice people and challenging hikes. We would love to come back.

The hotel offers beautiful accommodation with an all-inclusive package. It perfectly met our needs for an unforgettable hiking holiday. The two of us stayed in the Ramsau Suite, which is spacious and has a beautiful balcony. The mattresses were a little too soft for us, but only because we are used to something different. The separate toilet is a plus. The three-quarter board was excellent. Every evening, there was a 4-course menu with a choice of 3 main courses. The dishes were exquisite and delicious, and also very attractively presented. The atmosphere in the restaurant area and lounge was pleasantly relaxed. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. The guided hikes were very interesting. Markus, our mountain guide, in particular, knew how to respond flexibly to the needs of the hiking group and adapt the tours to the constantly changing weather conditions. We would like to give him special praise. He knew so much about the landscape, the flora and the people (without being intrusive) and answered all our questions. Markus was a very pleasant companion and we are grateful to have met him. The hotel is located a little way outside the villages of Schladming and Ramsau. The surroundings were wonderfully peaceful. As the bus stops practically on the doorstep and the hotel bus took us to the starting points of the guided hikes, we didn't miss a thing. There are plenty of places to visit. In addition to hiking, the hotel offers the opportunity to play table tennis and billiards, pass the time reading or playing board games, or relax in the beautiful sauna area. We really enjoyed looking at the photos taken by the hiking guides every day on the TV in the lounge area in the afternoons/evenings, allowing us to relive the tours.

The owner family, the staff - everyone was extremely friendly and made every effort to ensure the well-being of the guests. We were spoilt with a rich breakfast and very tasty food. The hiking excursions were well organised and very well chosen. We have already booked again.😊

Our hiking week was wonderful. The room was cosy and clean, the food very good, the staff and the manager very friendly. We really enjoyed the hikes. The view of the Dachstein from the room was brilliant. A successful week. Thank you very much!

After my 6th stay there, my opinion has been confirmed: You will hardly find anything better in the premium hiking hotel category. Location, comfort, service, catering, hiking offers - there is hardly a wish left unfulfilled. Prices and services are just right.

The hotel meets the standards of a good hiking hotel in terms of design and ambience, where you can relax after a hike (sauna) and dine well. The hotel offered two hikes a day from Monday to Friday, each with a different requirement profile, so that you could decide which one you wanted to take part in depending on your daily form. The room was large enough at approx. 23m². There was also a large balcony where you could enjoy the evening sun. The room was functionally furnished without any unnecessary frills. I also liked the fact that the toilet and shower were separate. The only negative in this category were the pillows, which were too soft and not very mouldable. We compensated for this somewhat by having additional pillows. The food on offer for breakfast and dinner was varied, fresh and tasty. Another positive thing to mention is that we were officially allowed to take something from the breakfast buffet for our upcoming hikes. In addition, mineral water was also offered free of charge to fill into your own containers.

Wonderfully located hiking hotel with an all-round carefree offer. Every day 2 guided hikes, especially the hikes with Markus are great. The rooms and bathrooms have been renovated and the beds are comfortable. Bus stop in front of the hotel. The hotel also has its own two minibuses for transport to the starting points of the hikes. Dachsteincard with many advantages is included. The food is varied and delicious.

Beautiful hiking hotel. Group hikes are organised from Monday to Friday, which you can take part in. Good breakfast and dinner. A packed lunch and a cake buffet in the afternoon are also included. In addition to hiking, you can also go tobogganing, skiing and cross-country skiing in winter. The hotel has extensive sauna facilities. A quiet hotel as small children are not allowed.

If you want a quiet hotel in a peaceful location and want to experience (daily) beautiful tours - perfectly prepared and led by the hiking guides - this is the place for you. Also very nice: the communal table for solo travelers - if you want, you can easily make contacts there and have the company of other hiking enthusiasts while eating. What's more, with the 3/4 board you are well looked after and can concentrate fully on hiking, sauna, reading ... because you don't have to worry about anything else.

We really enjoyed our stay. The guided snowshoe hikes with Markus were a wonderful experience. But the area also offers a lot for individual tours. Markus gave us great advice. The food at the Steirerhof also left nothing to be desired. The hotel is just the right size to make you feel at home. Both the hotel manager and his staff were always very accommodating.

Great hiking hotel with daily guided tours. Even in very difficult weather conditions, the guides made every effort to find viable and beautiful tours. Good food, nice sauna, great location with a beautiful view, family atmosphere.

A hiking hotel that delivers what it promises. The location alone is quiet and idyllic. We had booked with a balcony, with a great view of the mountains. Culinary and service-oriented we were very spoiled. What I personally found very positive, water to fill up the drinking bottles was always available (mixable with apple cider vinegar), coffee and cake after the hike was very uplifting. Every morning at breakfast the day's hike is presented, one easy and one challenging. We thought that was very good. Norbert and Markus organized and carried this out excellently. We had a very well-organized vacation and will be back. There is still a lot to see. The only thing we would have to criticize, there are only small showers, a lot of waste, which can be avoided. 2024 was our third time at this hotel and we have already booked for 2025. Arrive and have a vacation... It doesn't get any better than this.

A feel-good hotel, especially for solo travelers. The concept is incomparable. You feel like you're part of a big family. Every day there are 2 hikes on offer with top hiking guides who also introduce each one personally. The food is good and the sauna area invites you to relax. Highly recommended as a hiking hotel! Always happy to return.
