Our local skiing & hiking mountain, the Reiteralm, lies directly across from our Hotel Steirerhof, at the western entrance to the Schladming-Dachstein holiday region and 6 km from Schladming.
Nestled amid a fascinating alpine world, the Reiteralm has been a popular excursion destination for hikers, sports fans and nature lovers for many a year.

Lasting Memories
With its alpine hiking tour, glorious vistas and a world-famous photo motif, the reflection of the Dachstein in Mirror Lake – as well as the magnificent sight of the rhododendron blossom from mid-June until mid-July, the Reiteralm is an absolute fixture in our program of guided hikes.
The Rhododendron Blossom
Every year on the first Sunday in July, the beloved and well-known "Rhododendron Festival" is held on the Reiteralm.
Visitors from near and far, big, small, old and young, have a great time during this high-spirited celebration on the mountain. This festival is accompanied by an ecumenical worship service at 11 AM, with music provided by a wind quartet and a local choir.
Afterwards, everyone is invited to continue the celebrations at huts in the area, including the Eiskarhütte,
Reiteralmhütte and Gasselhöhe-Hütte.
